Thurston Vitamin Drive

Department/School:  Thurston Middle
Type:  Announcements
Donate unopened bottles of daily vitamins suitable for children or adults.  Your donation can help change the world by improving the health of malnourished children and adults.

Each year, 10 million children die from preventable, poverty- related malnutrition and infections. Poor nutrition weakens the immune system, impairs physical and mental health, slows thinking, stunts growth, and leads to infectious disease.

Between 250,000 and 500,000 children with Vitamin A deficiency become blind every year, and about half of them die within a year of becoming blind.

Help Thurston Middle School make difference!

In partnership with Assumption College and the Rosto de Cristo Foundation, Thurston Middle School is collecting all types of children’s and adult vitamins. Those vitamins will be sent to malnourished areas in Ecuador and Mexico and distributed by College students performing volunteer work.

Let’s show the world how the Westwood community fights for those in need.

Please drop off any vitamins or donations in the Vitamin drive Box located in the Conference Room of the Main Office.

Thank you.
