Any 8th Grade student that still needs to turn in their course selection sheets, should report to Mr. Busheys office immediately.

Have you ever wondered what it is like to be a police officer?  Are you looking to begin building community service hours?  The Westwood Police Explorer program has opened enrollment.  Police Explorers is a program sponsored by the Westwood Police Department in which young adults learn about police procedure such as arrest and search, crime scene investigation, and traffic stops.  They also ride along with police officers, and help with traffic and crowd control at town events.

There is a sign-up sheet in the office for any seventh or eigth grader interested.  Space is limited, so apply soon!

The Thurston Student Council is having a contest to name our school mascot, The Bulldog.

The contest runs until next Wednesday, February 15th.

If you have a suggestion for a name, write it down along with your name and homeroom number and put it in the drop box outside Mr. Bernazzani's office.  Entries must be school appropriate, and you can only enter once.

Finalists will be selected for a school-wide vote to name the bulldog.  If your name suggestion is selected for the vote, you will have the chance to win some great raffle prices!
