Every year, each public school and school district in Massachusetts receives a report card. Just as your child’s report card shows how they are doing in different subjects, the district report card is designed to show families how our district is doing in different areas. A link to our district report card is available below:

Westwood Public Schools 2022 District Report Card

You can also access school report cards by searching for "Westwood" or a specific school name (e.g., "Westwood High School").

These report cards include multiple measures of performance – more than just MCAS scores. They represent a comprehensive view of district and school performance, by providing information on student achievement, teacher qualifications, student learning opportunities, and other factors that are the hallmarks of a strong school and district.

Report cards are designed to be useful tools for everyone connected to our school community. Families can use the information to have meaningful conversations with us about what the district is doing well and where there is room for improvement. Community and education leaders can use the information to better understand how to support students and our school district.

You will notice on our report card that Westwood is performing well across many measures:  our teachers are experienced and qualified, we provide access to a rigorous core curriculum as well as a broad range of arts courses, our students perform well academically and gain access to excellent post-secondary opportunities.   We are very proud of these accomplishments.

We are a district that is focused on continued growth and improvement and our district goals reflect our priorities.  We encourage you to become involved in helping us improve our schools. We see parents and caregivers as critical partners in the success of our students and schools, and we are grateful for your continued support.

If you have questions about our district’s report card, please contact Assistant Superintendent Allison Borchers (aborchers@westwood.k12.ma.us or 781-326-7500 x 1348).
