Fall Family Picnic -Tuesday, September 15th

We would like to extend an invitation to all Sheehan families to attend our annual Sheehan Fall Family Picnic Night on Tuesday, September 15th from 5:00-6:30 PM. Please bring a picnic dinner.  The picnic gathering is a wonderful opportunity to get acquainted with each other as well as provide a variety of organized games for our students outside of the Sheehan School day! We look forward to seeing you all!

Curriculum Night - Thursday, September 17th

Also, just a reminder, Curriculum Night is Thursday, September 17th and we look forward to seeing all of you.  We will start promptly at 6:00 PM with the Kindergarten through Grade 2 presentations.  At 7:00 PM, there will be a Welcome Meeting.  The conclusion of the evening will be presentations by Grade 3 through Grade 5 at 7:30 PM. This evening is for parents only.  We ask that you please leave your children at home. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause.

Pledge of Allegiance Leaders

We have started a new tradition of inviting Fifth Grade students to serve as Pledge Leaders every morning.  The Pledge Leaders will be invited to help lead the students in the Pledge of Allegiance following the 8:50 AM school bell.  It is important for all students to make an effort to arrive to school on time to start their day honoring our country!  Below, please see this week's pledge leaders:

9/14 - Jovauny Auguste

9/15 - Nate Bowers

9/16 - Ava Farrell

9/17 - Jason Cassarino

9/18 - Ashley Braren

Picture Day - Friday, September 18th

Please remember that this coming Friday is picture day! All picture forms were sent home last week. The order forms should be returned to your child's classroom teacher.

Student Council Elections - Friday, September 18th

This Friday will be the Student Council Elections.  Everyone who wishes to be nominated, should have a short speech prepared for their classmates.  There will be two students elected in each classroom in Grades 2 through 5.

Update on Sheehan Custodians

Thank you so much to our  custodians, Frank Chillemi, Paul Jessoe and Fred Beaton for their tireless efforts to help get Sheehan ready for the start of the year. I am so grateful for their dedication to our school.

I would also like to extend our best wishes to Mr. Beaton as he is retiring on September 18th after 10 years of loyal service.  We wish him all the best in his future endeavors!
