Deerfield Family BINGO Night: Tuesday, December 6th

The Deerfield PTO invites all Deerfield families to a Family BINGO night on Tuesday, December 6th from 6:30pm - 8:00pm. This community event will be held in the Thurston Middle School Cafeteria. Please note: This is not a drop off event. Please ensure an adult is present to supervise.

 

 

Early Release Day on Wednesday, December 7th

Wednesday, December 7th will be an early-release day for students. Students will be dismissed at 11:50am and we will not have lunch or afternoon recess during the school day. Students are able to get lunch from school on early-release Wednesdays. They may stop by the cafeteria at dismissal and get a lunch to take home. If students are going to Extended Day, then they will have lunch at the Hanlon School when they arrive and do not need to get a lunch from the Deerfield cafeteria.

 

 

School Committee Meeting: Thursday, December 8th

The monthly School Committee meeting for December will be held on Thursday, December 8th beginning at 7:00pm at the Westwood Public Library.

 

 

Fundraiser at Park Street Books

Deerfield School is running a Park Street Book fundraiser Monday, December 5th and Tuesday, December 6th. Park Street Books is an amazing locally owned bookstore located at 504 Main Street in Medfield (Rt. 109). 20% of all sales (books, pottery, toys, and gift cards) go back to the Deerfield School. Stock up on Holiday gifts while supporting our school and this great local business. Happy Shopping!

 

 

Kids Night Out: December 16th

The Westwood Recreation Department is hosting a Side-By-Side Kids Night Out event on Friday, December 16th from 5:30pm - 8:30pm. The event will be held at Wentworth Hall.

Reminder: Deerfield and Hanlon Holiday Giving Drive for WY&FS

The Deerfield and Hanlon Schools will be in a Holiday Giving Drive for Westwood Youth & Family Services. Donations will be collected between now and Friday, December 9th. If you are able, please donate the following items:

  • Mittens/gloves (children and adult sizes)
  • Slipper socks
  • Nail polish or nail files
  • Packs of tissues
  • Chapstick
  • $5 gift cards for CVS
  • $5 gift cards for McDonalds, Dunkin Donuts, etc.
  • Small hand lotion
  • Sheet face masks
  • Stickers, small bouncy balls, small stuffed animals, card games, fidget toys, Mad Libs, small notepads, fun pens or pencils
