Reminder: Workshop for Parents (flyer)
On Tuesday, January 12th (tomorrow night), author Lynn Lyons will present in Westwood. The title of her presentation is Anxious Kids, Anxious Parents: Interrupting the Worry Cycle at Home and School. The workshop will be held at Westwood High School in the Little Theater from 7:00pm - 9:00pm. All parents and staff members are welcome to attend.
Early-Release Day on Wednesday, January 13th
Wednesday, January 13th will be an early-release day for all students. Students will be dismissed at 11:25am and lunch will not be served in school.
Animal Shelter Drive
The following message is from Deerfield fifth-grader, Bridget O'Sullivan, and Deerfield fourth-grader, Ethan Walsh:
Our 4H Club, Horse Feathers, is doing an animal shelter drive. We are collecting any animal supplies, such as dog food, cat food, towels, blankets, chew toys, and beds. All donations will benefit the Medfield Animal Shelter.
Please place all donations in or near the box in the front lobby of Deerfield. Thank you!

Teacher of the Year Nominations (flyer)
Each year the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education recognizes and honors outstanding educators through various recognition programs. One way to recognize these educators is to nominate them to the Massachusetts Teacher of the Year program. Please consider nominating one or more of Deerfield's outstanding educators for this honor. Anyone (students, colleagues, parents, supervisors, community members) may nominate teachers to the program.
