Early Release Day on Wednesday, January 10th

The next early-release Wednesday of the school year will be next Wednesday, January 10th. Students will be dismissed at 12:00pm and we will not have lunch or afternoon recess during the school day. If students are going to Extended Day, then they will have lunch at the Hanlon School at the beginning of Extended Day.

 

 

Staffing Update: School Resource Officer

Officer Brad Pindel will be transitioning to a new role within the Westwood Police Department.  Officer Pindel has served as our School Resource Officer for many years in the Westwood Public Schools, where he has provided great support for our students and staff in the district.  Please join me in wishing Officer Pindel the best in his new assignment with Westwood PD.

 

Please join me in welcoming Westwood's new School Resource Officer, Officer Jeremy Lenzo.  Officer Lenzo has been transitioning into the role with Officer Pindel over the past few months, and we look forward to working with him.

Reminder: Lost and Found

We have accumulated a large collection of items in our Lost and Found, including many sweatshirts and jackets. Please ask your child to check the Lost and Found for their missing clothing and/or please check the Lost and Found when you are at the Deerfield or Hanlon campuses.

 

 

Reminder: Pine Hill Site Council

We are looking for Pine Hill parents to serve on the Pine Hill Site Council this year. The Pine Hill Site Council is a school advisory group that is composed of parents, teachers, and community members. The council members assist the principal in: 1) Adopting educational goals for the school that are consistent with local educational policies and statewide student performance standards, 2) identifying the educational needs of students attending the school, 3) reviewing the annual school building budget, and 4) discussing a school improvement plan.

 

The Pine Hill Site Council meets several times throughout the year. Our meetings are usually held on the second Monday of the month from 3:30pm - 4:30pm. Please contact Mr. Baumer if you are interested in serving on the Pine Hill Site Council during the 2023-2024 school year.
