Early-Release Day on Wednesday, March 15th

Wednesday, March 15th will be an early-release day for students. Students will be dismissed at 11:25am and lunch will not be served in school.

 

School Committee Meeting on Thursday, March 16th

The monthly School Committee meeting will be held on Thursday, March 16th beginning at 7:00pm. This month's meeting will be held in the Professional Development rooms at Central Office.

 

PTO Meeting on Friday, March 17th

The third Deerfield PTO meeting of the school year is scheduled for this Friday, March 17th from 9:30am – 10:30am. The meeting will be held in the Deerfield cafeteria. All are welcome to attend.

 

Lost and Found

We have accumulated a large collection of items in our Lost and Found, including many articles of winter clothing. Please ask your child to check the Lost and Found for their missing clothing and/or please check the Lost and Found when you are at Deerfield.

 

Please check for items by Wednesday, March 22nd. Any unclaimed articles of clothing will be donated to charity on Friday, March 24th. The Lost and Found is located near the main office in Deerfield.

 

Deerfield in the News

The Hometown Weekly has recently featured the Deerfield school and students in two different articles. One article focused on the Deerfield Science Fair and the second article was about the Debate Club mini-course that was a part of the winter mini-course cycle.

Technology Night for Parents

Members of the Westwood Public School Technology Department invite elementary parents/guardians to come TECH Us Out. Enjoy an engaging workshop where you will experience how technology is used to support learning in the elementary classroom. Attendees will participate in interactive lessons by navigating the Google Platform in a way that mirrors your child’s classroom experience. The goals of this evening are to understand the vision of technology in the Westwood Public Schools and learn how you can best support your children at home.

TMS Production of High School Musical (poster)

The following message is from TMS Principal, Mrs. Borchers:

 

As you might have heard, Thurston's production of High School Musical will hit the main stage at WHS in just under a month! Our excellent cast, directors, musicians and stage managers have been hard at work, and the show promises be a great event for families. There will be three performances: Thursday 4/6 (7:00PM), Friday 4/7 (7:00PM) or Saturday 4/8 (2:00PM).  Purchase your tickets online in advance and skip the line!
