Pine Hill Food Drive
The Pine Hill School community is working together to donate food and important items for the Westwood Food Pantry. Donations can be dropped off in the front lobby at either the Deerfield or Hanlon campus. The last day for donations will be this Friday, November 17th.
Here are the items we are collecting:
- Cookies & Crackers
- Peanut Butter & Jelly
- Canned Fruits & Vegetables
- Cans of White Tuna & Baked Beans
- Condiments (Ketchup, Mayo, Mustard, Balsamic Vinegar, Olive Oil & Salad Dressing)
- Pasta & Pasta Sauce
- Cake, Pancake Mixes & Syrup
- Paper Towels & Toilet Paper
- Toothpaste & Toothbrushes
- Shampoo, Body Wash & Soap
- Adult Sanitary Products (Sizes L & XL)
SEPAC Announcements

No School on Monday, November 27th
The Monday after Thanksgiving, Monday, November 27th, is a full-day of professional development for all Westwood Public Schools faculty and staff. All Westwood Public Schools will be closed for students on that day. Enjoy the extended Thanksgiving recess.
Lost and Found
We have accumulated a large collection of items in our Lost and Found, including many sweatshirts and jackets. Please ask your child to check the Lost and Found for their missing clothing and/or please check the Lost and Found when you are at the Deerfield or Hanlon campuses.
Reminder: WPS Hiring Fair
The Westwood Public Schools will be having a Hiring Fair on Wednesday, November 15th from 6:30pm - 8:30pm. The Hiring Fair will take place at the WPS District Administration Office (220 Nahatan Street)

Reminder: School Committee Meeting: Thursday, November 16th
The monthly School Committee meeting for November will be held on Thursday, November 16th beginning at 6:30pm at Westwood High School.
Reminder: Thanksgiving Recess
Students will be dismissed at 12:10pm on Wednesday, November 22nd and all Westwood Public Schools will be closed on Thursday, November 24th and Friday, November 25th for the Thanksgiving recess. In addition, there is no school for students on Monday, November 27th. This is a full day of professional development for all WPS faculty and staff.
Reminder: Pine Hill Site Council
We are looking for Pine Hill parents to serve on the Pine Hill Site Council this year. The Pine Hill Site Council is a school advisory group that is composed of parents, teachers, and community members. The council members assist the principal in: 1) Adopting educational goals for the school that are consistent with local educational policies and statewide student performance standards, 2) identifying the educational needs of students attending the school, 3) reviewing the annual school building budget, and 4) discussing a school improvement plan.
The Pine Hill Site Council meets several times throughout the year. Our meetings are usually held on the second Monday of the month from 3:30pm - 4:30pm. Please contact Mr. Baumer if you are interested in serving on the Pine Hill Site Council during the 2023-2024 school year.
