Thank You: Trunk-Or-Treat

It was wonderful to see so many Pine Hill students, staff, and families at last Friday's Trunk-or-Treat. Thank you so much to all the Pine Hill families who decorated their trunks, to the set-up and clean-up teams for their incredible hard work, and to the entire Pine Hill PTO for organizing such a fun community event. 

 

 

SEPAC General Meeting

Early Release Day on Wednesday, October 25th

The next early-release Wednesday of the school year will be this Wednesday, October 25th. Students will be dismissed at 12:00am and we will not have lunch or afternoon recess during the school day. If students are going to Extended Day, then they will have lunch at the Hanlon School at the beginning of Extended Day.

 

 

Thanksgiving Recess

Students will be dismissed at 12:10pm on Wednesday, November 22nd and all Westwood Public Schools will be closed on Thursday, November 24th and Friday, November 25th for the Thanksgiving recess. In addition, there is no school for students on Monday, November 27th. This is a full day of professional development for all WPS faculty and staff.

 

 

Reminder: Pine Hill Site Council

We are looking for Pine Hill parents to serve on the Pine Hill Site Council this year. The Pine Hill Site Council is a school advisory group that is composed of parents, teachers, and community members. The council members assist the principal in: 1) Adopting educational goals for the school that are consistent with local educational policies and statewide student performance standards, 2) identifying the educational needs of students attending the school, 3) reviewing the annual school building budget, and 4) discussing a school improvement plan.

 

The Pine Hill Site Council meets several times throughout the year. Our meetings are usually held on the second Monday of the month from 3:30pm - 4:30pm. Please contact Mr. Baumer if you are interested in serving on the Pine Hill Site Council during the 2023-2024 school year.

 

 

Reminder: Time Capsule

We will be putting together Hanlon and Deerfield time capsules to install in the Pine Hill Elementary School. If you have items to be included, please consider contributing to the time capsules.
