Curriculum Night: Thursday, September 21st
OUR CURRICULUM NIGHT OPEN HOUSE WILL BE HELD ON THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 21ST FROM 6:30PM - 8:00PM.
Current students are invited/encouraged to attend with their family members. Students should plan to stay with their family members and follow the rules and expectations of a school day.
Here is the UPDATED schedule for the evening: (To help with parking and the flow of people in the schools, we will have two sessions for the Curriculum Night Open House. If the session you are assigned to does not work for your schedule, please plan to attend the session that works best for you.)

Reminder: Early Release Day on Wednesday, September 20th
The next early-release Wednesday of the school year will be this Wednesday, September 20th. Students will be dismissed at 12:00am and we will not have lunch or afternoon recess during the school day. If students are going to Extended Day, then they will have lunch at the Hanlon School at the beginning of Extended Day.

Important Reminders Regarding Arrival Procedures
Our school day begins at 9:00am. At 8:55am, a bell rings and students to line-up and proceed to their classrooms. Students who arrive between 8:40am-8:55am will begin their day on the playground where staff members supervise a morning arrival time. In the case of inclement weather, students will proceed to the gym and cafeteria during this time. Please do not drop your child off before 8:40am. We are not able to provide supervision of students prior to that time.
Students who arrive after 9:00am are tardy and must check-in at the main office before proceeding to their classrooms. Please make every effort to help your child arrive before our 9:00am start time.
All Westwood Public Schools Closed: Monday, September 25th
All Westwood Public Schools will be closed on Monday, September 25th for Rosh Hashanah.
Reminder: Message from the Westwood Public Library
The Westwood Library attracts large numbers of kids who come to the library after school. This year, we are trying to be pro-active about sharing library behavior expectations with children and families. We encourage family members to review the expected behaviors with their children. Thank you for your support.

Reminder: Updating Permissions in Aspen
In order to ensure that we have the most up-to-date information about our students, all families are required to submit annual signoffs and permissions for each child through Aspen. The submission includes contact and medical information, student handbook acknowledgment, media and other permissions, and the free and reduced lunch application. This task is required annually, even if no information has changed from last year.
To complete the process, please login to your account on our Aspen family portal and click on Annual Signoffs and Permissions. Please be aware that if you have multiple children in the Westwood Public Schools, a separate form needs to be submitted for each child.
