Thank You So, So Much!
Dear Deerfield PTO, Teacher Appreciation Committee, and All Deerfield Families,
Thank you so, so much for all you have done for the Deerfield faculty and staff throughout the year, especially over this past Teacher Appreciation Week. The breakfast, lunch, special treats, and amazing raffle made the week so special and festive. We are so grateful and so fortunate to work with such supportive, generous, and thoughtful families!

Early Release Day on Wednesday, May 11th
This Wednesday, May 11th will be an early-release day for students. Students will be dismissed at 11:50am and we will not have lunch or afternoon recess in school.
School Committee Meeting on Thursday, May 12th
The Westwood School Committee meeting for April will take place on Thursday, May 12th at 7:00pm. The meeting will be held in-person at the Westwood Public Library and will be streamed by Westwood Media Center through the following link: www.westwood.k12.ma.us/live
Deerfield Site Council and May Meeting
We are still looking for one more Deerfield parent to serve on the Deerfield Site Council this year. The Deerfield Site Council is a school advisory group that is composed of parents, teachers, and community members. The council members assist the principal in: 1) Adopting educational goals for the school that are consistent with local educational policies and statewide student performance standards, 2) identifying the educational needs of students attending the school, 3) reviewing the annual school building budget, and 4) discussing a school improvement plan.
The Deerfield Site Council meets monthly throughout the year. Our meetings are usually held on the second Monday of the month from 3:30pm - 4:30pm. Please contact Mr. Baumer if you are interested in serving on the Deerfield Site Council during the 2021-2022 school year.

Reminder: 2022-2023 WPS Calendar

Reminder: Spring 2022 MCAS Exams
The testing window for the Spring 2022 MCAS exams is March 28th - May 27th. Students in grades 3, 4, and 5 will take two English Language Arts exams and two Math exams. Students in grade 5 will also take two Science, Technology and Engineering exams.
