The Westwood Eary Childhood Office is home of the Coordinated Family and Community Engagement Grant (CFCE) which supports families with children ages birth through eight. Our mission is to provide the following programs and services which form the acronym PEACE.

Join Debbi Shamon, LICSW for this new group where parents and their babies up to 12 months share and learn together.
Westwood Early Childhood Council welcomes new members to become involved in early childhood services, activities and programs that serve the community of Westwood.
Join Janet Lucey and Lizzy McGovern for a fun playgroup that helps children learn about feelings, differences and caring about others. Each session features a story and hands on activities related to social and emotional learning. Registration is required.
For parents/caregivers and children ages 5-8. Join special guest facilitator Sheryl White to learn how mindfulness can help everyone in a family be more peaceful. Participate in fun and simple activities that encourage relaxation. All Sundays in March 3:00-4:00 p.m. at Westwood Library. Registration is required. See the flyer under forms and documents.
Are you looking for a preschool for next school year? Open houses are being held starting Nov. 5th. Information on open houses and registration can be found on the flyer under forms and documents.
Registration is open for all winter programs. Registration is required for most programs.

I want to welcome you to the Early Childhood Office of the Westwood Public Schools and Coordinated Family and Community Engagement Program! (CFCE). The CFCE program is a state funded grant from the Massachusetts Department of Early Education and Care (EEC). The CFCE program serves as a resource hub for families and early educators of children ages birth through eight. We strive to strengthen families and support parents as their child's first teacher by offering free family-focused programs, resources, and services that enhance growth and learning. We offer a variety of literacy focused activities, and family playgroups throughout the community. Families may access resources, referrals and parent education on topics related to child development. We strive to support early educators to provide high quality programming with access to training and technical assistance and opportunities to share best practices.
