Westwood Boosters

 
 
The Westwood High School Boosters is a non-profit volunteer organization supporting high school athletic and academic teams.
 
In past years, in addition to our membership drive, we successfully added two new fundraisers, the Westwood Boosters 5K in October, and a New England Patriots vs. Westwood Celebrity Basketball Game in the spring, which we will be sponsoring again this year.
 
Over two thirds of the WHS population is involved in an academic or athletic team, and we believe they should be supported in their competitive endeavors and recognized for their achievements.
 
The success of last year’s fundraising efforts allowed us to continue fostering community spirit by:  
  • Funding State Championship Sign & Record Boards near pool and gym
  • Purchasing letters, pins and awards
  • Purchasing tents for all outdoor activities at the school
  • Contributing towards track equipment, equipment for the new baseball & softball fields & a lacrosse shooting cage
  • Funding football coaching clinic
  • Refurbishing & updating championship banners for the gymnasium
  • Contributing towards State Championship rings for our Baseball & Girls Lacrosse Teams
  • Stocking concession stand for use by all high school teams using Flahive Field
  • Encouraging community service projects by teams.   Team members benefit from working together on these projects that provide a service. Teams have helped at Hale Reservation, assisted at the Boosters 5K, assisted Westwood Community Chest with/mailing and helped youth sports teams with coaching
There has never been a more exciting time at Westwood High. With state of the art facilities and a renewed school spirit, the Boosters are dedicated to enriching the lives of all students in our community. Through the support of family memberships, corporate donations & support of our fundraisers, we hope to achieve the many goals and ideas we have this year.
