Early-Release Day on Wednesday, April 11th

Wednesday, April 11th will be an early-release day for students. Students will be dismissed at 11:25am and lunch will not be served in school.

 

 

School Committee Meeting on Thursday, April 12th

The monthly School Committee meeting will be held on Thursday, April 12th beginning at 7:00pm at Westwood High School.

 

 

A Virtual Deerfield STEAM Fair

Deerfield's Library Teacher, Mrs. Krass has been working closely with the STEAM Fair Committee to conceptualize our “Virtual STEAM Fair.” Flyers containing all the necessary information will be given to classroom teachers to send home with students today (Monday). All photograph and video submissions are due by the end of this week.

Reminder: Spring 2018 MCAS Testing Continues This Week

Spring 2018 MCAS testing will continue this week. Our Grade 5 students will take their ELA sessions on Monday and Tuesday. To view the full testing schedule for grades 3 - 5, please click the following link: MCAS Testing Schedule.

 

If you need to visit Deerfield during the testing days, please make you sign in at the main office. Please do not linger in the hallways or enter any of the testing classrooms or settings while the MCAS testing is in progress. Thank you for your cooperation.

 

 

Reminder: Parent Input Form for Class Placement

Last Monday, I sent home a letter and the Parent Input Form for Class Placement. This was a yellow sheet of paper that should have come home in your child's backpack. The letter outlined our class placement process and encouraged parents to share their input as a valuable component of the process. I hope you will take the time to complete the form and return it to school. The forms will be shared with the class placement team and your child's teacher for the 2018-2019 school year.

 

The due date for the Parent Input Forms for Class Placement is Friday, April 27th. If you did not receive a form or need an additional copy, please contact Mrs. Miller: mmiller@westwood.k12.ma.us
