Pine Hill Family BINGO Night: Tuesday, December 5th

The Pine Hill PTO invites all Pine Hill families to a Family BINGO night on Tuesday, December 5th from 6:00pm - 7:30pm. This community event will be held in the Thurston Middle School Cafeteria. Please note: This is not a drop off event. Please ensure an adult is present to supervise.

 

 

Pine Hill Giving Programs Drive for WY&FS

The Pine Hill School will be participating in the Giving Programs Drive for Westwood Youth & Family Services. If you are able, please donate the following items:

  • Gift cards (Amazon target Dunkin’ Donuts, Starbucks)

  • Hats/gloves (child and adult sizes) 

  • Fuzzy socks (child and adult sizes) 

  • Books 

  • Card games 

  • Puzzles 

  • Mad libs 

  • Toiletries (nail polish, chapsticks, face masks etc)

  • Small stuffed animals

  • Fidget toys 

  • Stickers (younger child as well as teens - to put on computer or water bottle)

  • Art supplies (coloring books, colored pencils, markers)

  • Nerf balls (over the door basketball, football etc)

  • Crafting kits 

  • Sets of birthday plates and napkins

  • Birthday candles 

  • Disposable birthday tablecloths 

  • Birthday banners

In person donations can be brought to either Deerfield of Hanlon between December 1st - December 11th. Thank you for your support of these wonderful Westwood programs!

 

 

Reminder: Kids Night Out: December 8th

The Westwood Recreation Department is hosting a Kids Night Out event on Friday, December 8th from 5:30pm - 8:30pm. The event will be held at Wentworth Hall.

Reminder: Lost and Found

We have accumulated a large collection of items in our Lost and Found, including many sweatshirts and jackets. Please ask your child to check the Lost and Found for their missing clothing and/or please check the Lost and Found when you are at the Deerfield or Hanlon campuses.

 

 

Reminder: Pine Hill Site Council

We are looking for Pine Hill parents to serve on the Pine Hill Site Council this year. The Pine Hill Site Council is a school advisory group that is composed of parents, teachers, and community members. The council members assist the principal in: 1) Adopting educational goals for the school that are consistent with local educational policies and statewide student performance standards, 2) identifying the educational needs of students attending the school, 3) reviewing the annual school building budget, and 4) discussing a school improvement plan.

 

The Pine Hill Site Council meets several times throughout the year. Our meetings are usually held on the second Monday of the month from 3:30pm - 4:30pm. Please contact Mr. Baumer if you are interested in serving on the Pine Hill Site Council during the 2023-2024 school year.
