Science Fair

Please read the following message from the Deerfield Science Fair Committee:

 

On behalf of the Science Fair Committee and the Deerfield student body, we wish to thank each and everyone of you for your guidance, assistance and manpower.  Yet again, the Deerfield Science Fair was an "astronomical" success because of YOU!  We would not have been able to pull this off without the extraordinary efforts in planning from dedicated educators like Mrs. Krass, Mr. Baumer who help promote the science fair each year by making tools available throughout the science fair season and every classroom teacher that instills that passion for curiosity and learning. 
 
Much love and appreciation goes out to our wonderful set-up and clean-up crews, our very supportive parents, our photographers and of course our wonderful mentors that provided the time and acknowledgement to all 153 presenters for a job well-done.  The mentors consisted of former students, staff and parents all eager to give back to the community that gives them more.  Our appreciation is therefore too immense to share with just words of gratitude but we humbly ask that it does suffice.
 
We made many memories this year and we look forward to making more next year.
 
Once again, thank you and congratulations for a very successful Deerfield Science Fair 2016.

Charlie Appelstein, well known national speaker, author, and consultant in strength based parenting is coming to Westwood to present a 4 part parent workshop series.  
Parents will not want to miss his passionate, humorous, and informative presentations on parenting young children.

This program is sponsored by the Early Childhood Council and funded by a generous grant from the Foundation for Westwood Education.
