Thank You: Pine Hill Food Drive

Thank you so much for all of your generous donations during the Pine Hill Food Drive for the Westwood Food Pantry over the past two weeks. As a school, we collected 1,655 items. All of the donations will go to help families in the Westwood community.
 

 

Pine Hill School Spirit Day: Tuesday, November 21st

Tuesday, November 21st will be Westwood Day at the Pine Hill School for both the Deerfield and Hanlon campuses. Students and Staff are invited to wear Westwood clothing or colors or green and white. Please do not wear any hats or sports equipment (e.g., helmets, pads, etc.).

 

 

Kids Night Out: December 8th

The Westwood Recreation Department is hosting a Kids Night Out event on Friday, December 8th from 5:30pm - 8:30pm. The event will be held at Wentworth Hall.

Reminder: Thanksgiving Recess

Students will be dismissed at 12:10pm on Wednesday, November 22nd and all Westwood Public Schools will be closed on Thursday, November 24th and Friday, November 25th for the Thanksgiving recess. In addition, there is no school for students on Monday, November 27th. This is a full day of professional development for all WPS faculty and staff.

 

 

Reminder: No School on Monday, November 27th

The Monday after Thanksgiving, Monday, November 27th, is a full-day of professional development for all Westwood Public Schools faculty and staff. All Westwood Public Schools will be closed for students on that day. Enjoy the extended Thanksgiving recess.

 

 

Reminder: Lost and Found

We have accumulated a large collection of items in our Lost and Found, including many sweatshirts and jackets. Please ask your child to check the Lost and Found for their missing clothing and/or please check the Lost and Found when you are at the Deerfield or Hanlon campuses.

 

 

Reminder: Pine Hill Site Council

We are looking for Pine Hill parents to serve on the Pine Hill Site Council this year. The Pine Hill Site Council is a school advisory group that is composed of parents, teachers, and community members. The council members assist the principal in: 1) Adopting educational goals for the school that are consistent with local educational policies and statewide student performance standards, 2) identifying the educational needs of students attending the school, 3) reviewing the annual school building budget, and 4) discussing a school improvement plan.

 

The Pine Hill Site Council meets several times throughout the year. Our meetings are usually held on the second Monday of the month from 3:30pm - 4:30pm. Please contact Mr. Baumer if you are interested in serving on the Pine Hill Site Council during the 2023-2024 school year.
