Thank you so much to the Pine Hill PTO for providing a delicious dinner for our teachers before last week's evening Parent-Teacher Conferences! We truly appreciate your generosity and ongoing support!
WPS Hiring Fair
The Westwood Public Schools will be having a Hiring Fair on Wednesday, November 15th from 6:30pm - 8:30pm. The Hiring Fair will take place at the WPS District Administration Office (220 Nahatan Street)

School Committee Meeting: Thursday, November 16th
The monthly School Committee meeting for November will be held on Thursday, November 16th beginning at 6:30pm at Westwood High School.
Reminder: Winter Groups at WY&FS
Please read the following message regarding winter groups at Westwood Youth & Family Services:
Westwood Youth and Family Services is planning for Winter group programming for Kindergarten-5th graders. Registration for all Winter groups begins on November 6th at 9am and we will be accepting 8 students per group.
Attached you’ll find group flyers that we encourage you to please share with your school community in an upcoming family communication and/or when you’re talking with parents/caregivers whose children may benefit from these programs.

Reminder: No School on Friday, November 10th
All Westwood Public Schools will be closed on Friday, November 10th for Veterans Day.
Reminder: Thanksgiving Recess
Students will be dismissed at 12:10pm on Wednesday, November 22nd and all Westwood Public Schools will be closed on Thursday, November 24th and Friday, November 25th for the Thanksgiving recess. In addition, there is no school for students on Monday, November 27th. This is a full day of professional development for all WPS faculty and staff.
Reminder: Pine Hill Site Council
We are looking for Pine Hill parents to serve on the Pine Hill Site Council this year. The Pine Hill Site Council is a school advisory group that is composed of parents, teachers, and community members. The council members assist the principal in: 1) Adopting educational goals for the school that are consistent with local educational policies and statewide student performance standards, 2) identifying the educational needs of students attending the school, 3) reviewing the annual school building budget, and 4) discussing a school improvement plan.
The Pine Hill Site Council meets several times throughout the year. Our meetings are usually held on the second Monday of the month from 3:30pm - 4:30pm. Please contact Mr. Baumer if you are interested in serving on the Pine Hill Site Council during the 2023-2024 school year.
Reminder: Time Capsule
We will be putting together Hanlon and Deerfield time capsules to install in the Pine Hill Elementary School. If you have items to be included, please consider contributing to the time capsules.
