Thank You So Much: Pine Hill Community Picnic
It was wonderful to see so many Pine Hill families and staff members at the community picnic last Friday. Thank you for coming and celebrating the start of the school year. Thank you so much to the Pine Hill PTO for scheduling the Grandy's Ice Cream truck and for organizing such a fun community event.
Curriculum Night: Thursday, September 21st
CURRICULUM NIGHT WILL BE HELD ON THURSDAY, SEPTEMBER 21ST FROM 6:30PM - 8:00PM.
Here is the schedule for the evening:
- 6:30pm - 7:15pm
- Classroom portion for Grades K-2
- Specialist and Coaches Fair for Grades 3-5
- 7:15pm - 8:00pm
- Classroom portion for Grades 3-5
- Specialist and Coaches Fair for Grades K-2

Message from the Westwood Public Library
The Westwood Library attracts large numbers of kids who come to the library after school. This year, we are trying to be pro-active about sharing library behavior expectations with children and families. We encourage family members to review the expected behaviors with their children. Thank you for your support.

Early Release Day on Wednesday, September 20th
The next early-release Wednesday of the school year will be on Wednesday, September 20th. Students will be dismissed at 12:00am and we will not have lunch or afternoon recess during the school day. If students are going to Extended Day, then they will have lunch at the Hanlon School at the beginning of Extended Day.
Reminder: Updating Permissions in Aspen
In order to ensure that we have the most up-to-date information about our students, all families are required to submit annual signoffs and permissions for each child through Aspen. The submission includes contact and medical information, student handbook acknowledgment, media and other permissions, and the free and reduced lunch application. This task is required annually, even if no information has changed from last year.
To complete the process, please login to your account on our Aspen family portal and click on Annual Signoffs and Permissions. Please be aware that if you have multiple children in the Westwood Public Schools, a separate form needs to be submitted for each child.
