Mass Movement Arrives at the Sheehan

A team of dancers will be our artists in residence this week through the generosity of the PTA and the Cultural Enrichment Program.  They will be working with all grade levels.  Kindergarten and Grade 1 are doing Creative Movement and Folk Dancing and Grade 2 through 5 are doing Hip Hop.

Through dynamic dance and movement activities that encourage creativity, deepen cultural awareness, and improve physical well-being, students investigate alternative ways to understand and explore world cultures.

A big THANK YOU to the Westwood Cultural Council and Wegmans for making this visit possible.

Trailside Museum Visits Grade 3

This week we will have visitors from the Trailside Museum visiting third-grade classrooms. Please ask your student the animals they learned about!

Operated in partnership with the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, Blue Hills Trailside Museum is the interpretive center for the state-owned Blue Hills Reservation and features a natural history museum and outdoor wildlife exhibits. The animals on display, including snowy owls and a river otter, have been rescued and would not survive in the wild.
