Family Playgroup

Family Playgroup is a 1 hour playgroup for children of all ages with a parent/caregiver. The program targets all areas of development with a balance of group time, free and open ended independent choice time and projects. Children explore a variety of activities geared toward enhancing skills in language, physical, social, emotional and cognitive skills. Group activities feature stories, songs, and games giving children opportunities to practice such skills as listening, attending, and following directions. Projects and independent exploration activities offer development of school readiness skills. Parents/caregivers are encouraged to participate in the activities with the children as their child’s first teacher while making social connections with other parents/caregivers.
